Tonight we swung by Deseret Book for a few things and Blake made his way back to the toy section (how does he even know where it is?? It must be baby code to gravitate towards the toys...) and proceeded pick up the only toy he could carry, a small container of 4 over priced blocks in the shape of a monkey. He then proceeded to carry the blocks over to the checkout. When we took them away from him the water works started. Matt and I are super novice parents and gave in. Yep. We shouldn't have.
We were both convinced he had no clue what the toy even was, but on the way home he started making (very interesting) monkey sounds while pointing to the monkey. Our kid is getting too smart!
Do these blocks look like they are worth $13? No. The answer is no. But hey, if they are going to help Blake learn his animal sounds then I guess it was money well spent. Nicely played Blake.

hahaha oh Blakey...you are a smart cookie!
