A (Cold) Day at the Park

We have been spoiled this January. Our friends in Chicago are FREEZING in -20 degree weather while we have been enjoying days in the 30s. Now 30 degree weather is nothing to rave about, but in the afternoon sun it is just warm enough to get to the park. We only last about 15 min before it gets too cold, but it's a heavenly break from our play room in the house.

When Matt got home from school this afternoon we snuck in a quick trip to the 'big park' for a few minutes before the sun set. Blake loved playing with his dad. And honestly, his dad loved it just as much.

I don't write enough about Matt. He is the best dad. He loves Blake so much. We are so lucky to have him.

Blake and his youngest aunt (my baby sister), Alysa.

Having a 1 year old gives you a whole new perspective on the park. Blake's eyes light up when he sees the slide. He has learned to turn around at the top of the slide and go down by himself. This boy loves to play and have fun.
