9 Months

This last week Blake passed the 9 month mark. I know all moms say this, but it's hard to believe how fast he is growing. This last month he has reached many milestones.

First off, he is 19.5 lbs (47%), 28 in. (55%), and his head is in the 71%.

Here are some fun things about Blake.

-He learned to crawl just a few weeks ago. He took his first 'crawl' on Saturday, October 5th at Grandma and Grandpa Farnsworth's house. Alysa found a red ribbon on the floor and dragged it in front of Blake's face. It surprised us all when he followed it! He kind of has a funny crawl. It is really cute to watch.

-His first two bottom teeth appeared! A top tooth has also broken through the skin, but we are waiting for it to become more visible.

-He loves to ramble 'mama' and 'dada,' although he doesn't associate them with me or Matt yet. He is very vocal and loves to hear his own voice.

-He has really improved on the pincher grip between his fingers which has helped him feed himself in his high chair. Matt and I have wondered if his taste buds are working well because this boy will seriously eat everything.  

-Blake loves drinking water. Especially out of my cup. Sippy cups are not as preferable for him but they will do if mom is not willing to share. 

-He loves story time and has become more interactive as I read. He likes to lift up flaps and touch textured pages as we read.

-He has recently developed an aversion towards getting dressed. It makes our mornings and evenings a little more difficult.

-Blake loves being outside and is great to sit in his stroller every morning as we go on walks/jogs.

-This past month he has had a cold and thrush, but nothing too serious.

-He has become more aware who his mom and dad are and wants us over other people. He loves when dad comes home at the end of the day.

Most everyone who meets Blake comments on how good he is. He is a patient little guy and has a really happy demeanor about him (most of the time).
